Running and Fundraising as a Team
Running and fundraising as a team is a great way to enjoy the event with friends, family, and co-workers. Forming a team encourages fun competition among local businesses, civic groups, neighborhoods, schools, clubs and religious groups. Creating a team of employees, family members, or friends to run in the race is an exciting way to participate in friendly competition within your community and at the same time support a vitally important cause. For corporate teams, this can also be a great way to display company spirit.
Team members can encourage each other to set high fundraising goals and help each other achieve them. Team members can join together to host great fundraisers and generate donations. On race day, running together can make the event even more enjoyable.
Each team member is required to raise a minimum of $150 and register independently. Each individual team member’s fundraising amounts will be totaled for an overall team amount. A single team can consist of up to eight (8) individuals. The top fundraising team will be recognized during an on-field ceremony prior to a St. Louis Cardinals home game. Donors wishing to donate to a team must select an individual member on the team to receive the funds. Donors can contribute to multiple team members but each is a separate transaction. Donors cannot make a general donation to the team as donations will not be automatically distributed evenly amongst team members.
It's easy to create or join a team! Simply register as a runner or a virtual runner. Once you have registered, you have the option to create or join a team. Teams can consist of runners and virtual runners, but are limited to eight (8) total team members.
